The Solarbotics Squid Hunting CarouSol kit allows you to build your own giant squid and steampunk submarine. They surround each other in a seaweed forest, powered by an energy focused SolarEngine.

Squid Hunting is designed as a self activating solar powered sculpture. Unlike other solar devices, this SolarEngine technology can extract useful energy from light levels that solar cells cannot utilize.

Under direct sunlight, it can be activated within a few seconds. In indoor environments, such as offices with fluorescent lights, there will be a movement every 6 minutes. As long as there is enough light available for reading, this device can still work and will only activate when it has stored enough power to produce usable actions.
