- The Kitronik FM Radio Kit V2.0 uses industrial surface mount ICs (Si4820 and NCP2890). The FM radio kit comes with the ICs mounted on a circuit board. You only need to solder the remaining resistors, capacitors, and other components to complete the kit.
- The radio has controls for tuning and adjusting the volume. The circuit includes an audio amplifier and outputs through a 66 mm diameter speaker that comes with the kit.
- The board can be powered by a 2.5 to 5.5 V supply and operates properly using a 5 V wall supply or 3 AA batteries (not included).
- The Si4820 IC is one of the latest generation of radio receiver ICs, offering excellent reception quality and easy tuning, while the NCP2890 IC can output 1W of power.
