The Mini DFRobotShop Rover development platform (without Arduino) is a small, inexpensive tracked platform that provides you with the basic tools needed to experiment with Arduino based programming and mobile robots. It is necessary to purchase a microcontroller based on Arduino (such as Arduino Uno) that is compatible with shielding separately. The frame is made of durable laser cut Lexan parts, and the drive system consists of a Tamiya dual motor gearbox (must be assembled according to configuration A) and Tamiya track and wheel sets.




DFRobotShop Rover Shield is an ideal "all-in-one" shield for small, Arduino based mobile robot development. This shield allows you to use a 3.7V LiPo battery (also included in the kit) to power your Arduino, and even comes with an onboard 3.7V LiPo charger that allows you to charge the battery via USB. The onboard L298P H-bridge (dual brushed DC motor controller) is highly suitable for controlling two small low-voltage gear motors and allows for complete control of speed and direction. Other features include a universal infrared receiver, XBee connector, and separate analog pins (for easy connection to sensors). When stacking multiple shields or using shields with Arduino based circuit boards with other built-in features, be sure to check the pins used as some pins may interfere with each other.
