The dual axis solar tracker includes everything needed to complete the project, from wooden components and screws to customized Arduino shields and micro servers. The entire project will take about an hour to complete, and you will need a computer to upload the code and a screwdriver to build the tracker.
Data can be easily collected using 6V 200mA solar panels and LED voltmeters. This makes it easy for trackers to be used as part of scientific exhibition projects or classroom presentations. Due to the fact that the kit is only fixed together by screws, it can be easily disassembled for multiple uses in classroom environments.
To simplify the construction process, we have designed customized Arduino Shield and PCB sensor brackets. Custom code can be uploaded through the free Arduino IDE software. Adventurous builders can try writing the code for this project from scratch, but others only need to use the accompanying code.
