The ST Robotics R12 5-axis articulated robot arm is a complete, self-contained, five-joint vertical robot arm system designed as a cost-effective solution for benchtop automation. It has a reach of 500mm and a payload of 500g. The gripper end has a mounting plate for a low-cost gripper, vacuum picker, or your own equipment.
The R12 is a true industrial robot that is affordable, fast, accurate, reliable, easy to program, and capable of completing even the most complex tasks. Driven by high-efficiency digital motors via a steel-reinforced polyurethane timing belt, it is a breakthrough in lightweight and fast tabletop robots. An optional incremental optical encoder provides excellent integrity and safety (see below).
The R12 is an industry standard professional tool machined from a solid alloy and housed in an attractive acrylic case. The system comes complete with the controller, all cables, connectors, software and comprehensive documentation, ready to be unpacked.
The R12 kit includes the K11 controller, which combines a CPU, DSP microprocessor and compact microstepping drivers for simplicity and reliability. The ROBOFORTH II embedded software makes it easy to get started while programming the most complex motion, interface and peripherals, all on a single Windows screen with the help of the ROBWIN project manager.
