    Advanced Development Kit
    The Lynxmotion T-Hex 4DOF Hexapod Robot Kit (Hardware Only) is made from ultra-strong high-quality aluminum servo upright brackets. The body of the T-Hex robot is inspired by Mech. The legs use offset brackets to provide an additional range of motion. The four-degree-of-freedom (DOF) leg design means that the robot can walk in any direction, just like the 3DOF version. But the 4th axis does expand the dynamic range of the robot's motion range. The robot is designed to use 24 HS-645 servos for the legs. This Mech-inspired robot is perfect for adding weapons to your local robot competitions.

    Controlling the Robot
    By offloading servo pulse generation and sequential motion timing to the SSC-32, the microcontroller has plenty of capacity to do some really cool things. The Phoenix program allows the robot to walk at variable speeds, in any direction (translation) or turn in place (rotation), or any combination of the two. Leg lift and ride height, as well as the gait walking speed, are all adjustable. You can rotate the body on each axis. All of this is accessible from the controller.

    Please note that this is not a toy but an advanced leg development platform. Mechanical assembly instructions are provided. However, users must select the electronics and program the robot. The Phoenix code (compatible with Lynxmotion's BotBoarduino microcontroller + SSC-32 servo controller + PS2 remote control) can be used for this robot at the user's discretion.
