  • BlueRobotics BlueROV2 (Aluminium) Supports depths up to 300 metres Equipped with a high-resolution, low-light camera Precise movement with patented T2 thruster Support for scalable, modular frame design Control via live video via QGroundControl app BlueRobotics The BlueROV2 (Aluminium - 300 metres) is a high-performance remotely operated underwater robot (ROV) known for its affordability and versatility. With six and eight thruster configurations, a range of accessories, and open-source software, it's a highly flexible and scalable tool for underwater exploration. BlueROV2 has a wide range of applications, with thousands of applications deployed around the world. Assembly takes about 6-8 hours, but it gives the user a comprehensive understanding of the system components, making future upgrades and improvements easier. The ROV is equipped with a high-resolution, wide-angle, low-light camera mounted on a tilt mechanism that enables the operator to control the orientation of the camera. The lighting system can consist of 2 or 4 dimmable lumen lamps, providing up to 6,000lm of brightness to illuminate the underwater environment. The BlueROV2 features a patented T2 thruster vectoring configuration that enables high thrust-to-weight ratios and precise movement in any direction. The standard six-thruster setup can be expanded to eight thrusters with the Heavy Duty Configuration Modification Kit, providing full six-degrees-of-freedom control and enhanced stability. Adjustable gain levels allow for precise control and high power at low speeds to carry heavy loads against the current. ROVs can be manufactured in acrylic plastic or anodised aluminium enclosures and are rated at depths of 100 metres and 300 metres, respectively. Manufactured with high-quality components, the BlueROV2 features features such as a locking waterproof housing and a vacuum test pump to ensure proper sealing before every dive. The BlueROV2's modular frame design makes it easy to mount accessories such as fixtures and scanning sonars. Payload slides allow the frame to be extended to accommodate larger payloads or to accommodate scientific instruments, additional battery enclosures, and more. Users can modify the standard framework to create customised underwater robots for specific applications.
  • The BlueROV2 comes with a Navigator flight controller and BlueOS. Designed specifically for ROVs, the Navigator contains sensors such as inertial measurement units (IMUs), magnetometers, and leakage sensors. It has 16 outputs for connecting thrusters, lights, and other accessories, as well as multiple communication ports for sensors and sonar. Paired with a Raspberry Pi 4 computer running BlueOS, Navigator manages vehicle controls, cameras, and network sharing connections, and facilitates software updates.Pilots control ROVs from laptops and gamepad controllers using the open-source QGroundControl app, which provides real-time video streaming, sensor feedback, and configuration options. Suitable for beginners and advanced users, the BlueROV2 only requires a few extra components to operate: a laptop, a gamepad controller, batteries, and a charger.
